remerge 1.2.0 Changelog
-
Uses CSS for formatting, allowing for user-defined themes and per-distro theming. Users can add new CSS files to the list of available themes by modifying the $/usr/share/remerge/themes$ file - CSS files must be included in the $/usr/share/remerge/$ directory.
-
Themes for Gentoo, SuSE, and Red Hat are included, and the correct theme will be selected by default when you install remerge. (You can switch themes through the View->Styles menu in some browsers.)
-
Rewrote some of the Package List Synchronization code - specifically, the monstrosity that created the package installed versions list has been demolished, rebuilt, and hugely improved.
-
The entirety of the remerge code is now threadsafe, which means that you will be able to safely load multiple pages at once without page-loading problems.
-
Errors on remerge's startup are logged using the syslog functions - they will appear in your daemon logs.
-
Remove ugly ANSI color codes from the log pages - this removes all of the extra boxes in the log output on Gentoo systems.
-
Improved temporary file creation - action-files are created and checked alongside normal temporary files.
-
Directly access rug for current and installed version numbers - rug is much faster than emerge/qpkg, so this is allowable and makes for much more accurate version number handling.
